ART NOUVEAU AND ART DECO (late XIX - begining XX).

The revival movements in industrial arts in late 19th and early 20th century in Europe had a great impact on the ceramic art of Manises, where the ceramic industry was quick to incorporate the most outstanding Art Nouveau and Art Deco features into its already eclectic repertoire.

This extensive, rich ceramic production in Manises also gave rise to certain specific architectural features which doted the urban landscape of this city with a particular flavour, clearly underlining the industrial activities for which it is renowned.
