The majolica pottery is fired
at a low temperature and offers more possibilities
of chipping than porcelain sets of tableware.
As regards cleaning it is
recommended that the pieces are washed by hand.
If washed by machine it is necessary to ensure
that they are not touching each other in the process.
It is also recommended that if using a dishwasher,
a programme using cold water should be applied.
Characteristics of earthenware.
With daily use the paste
has a tendency to divide (forming minute lines
on the glaze). This totally normal with the enamel
and has no negative effects on the article. This
does not signify that the article is going to
break.
As each individual piece
is made by hand it is possible that there are
small variations in the colour and the sizes of
the articles. These variations can in no way be
considered faults, but are evidence that articles
are handcrafted.
